Mr. Norris serves as the President of More Than Shelter Services, Inc. He also serves as Executive Vice President of the Century Learning Initiatives For Today® (Century/LIFT®), President of the Century Villages at Cabrillo and Century Affordable Developments, and Executive Vice President of Century Community Training Program and Century Community Charter School.
Previously, he served as Deputy Director of the California Department of Housing and Community Development for the Century Freeway Housing Program from 1983 to 1991. He then served as Deputy Director of Development from 1991 to 1997, for the San Diego Housing Commission, where he had responsibility for Housing Development (HUD and locally funded), Public Housing Maintenance Section (1000 units), Public Housing New Construction, First Time Homebuyer Programs (HOME, Mortgage Credit Certificates, and CDBG), Bond Finance unit ($600 million) and Loan Programs (Multifamily and Single-Family Rehabilitation underwriting and servicing).
Mr. Norris served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1966 to 1970, did a tour in Vietnam and attained the rank of Sergeant. He attended the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California and completed the Indonesian Language and Area Studies Long Course. He graduated with majors in Political Science and Black Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and attended the University of San Francisco Graduate School of Education. Mr. Norris completed the City of San Diego’s Management Academy, and earned a Master's Degree in Change Management from the University of Pheonix.
Mr. Norris serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans and is a member on the board of the LINC Housing Corporation. He served on Century Housing Corporation's Board of Director's between from 1995 to 1998. Mr. Norris is the Region IX Coordinator (California, Arizona, and Hawaii) for the National Command Council of the National Association of Black Veterans (NABVETS) and Treasurer of the LINC Housing Board . He is a member of the Los Angeles Downtown Rotary, serving on the Salvation Army Red Shield Youth Center Committee. He has his Intermediate Certification as a Coach and Referee of AYSO Soccer.
Mr. Norris is married to Theresa (Teri) Norris, with four sons in college, Christian, Marcus, Brandon and Jonathan. Born in Baltimore, Maryland and the eldest of seven children, he lived with his aunt in the Gilmore Public Housing Project. He attended St. Peter Claver Parish School and graduated from Archbishop Curley High School where he lettered in Football, Basketball, and Track. His hobbies are reading, playing golf, and listening to Jazz. |

Ms. Hickambottom is Senior Vice President of Community Services and is responsible for overseeing Century's More Than Shelter® social services. In addition to her duties at Century, Ms. Hickambottom was elected to the National Housing Conference Board of Trustees in April of 2004.
Prior to joining Century in 1996, Ms. Hickambottom held various positions within the Century Freeway Affirmative Action Committee, Inc. from 1984, serving as Deputy Director her last three years there.
At the California Association of Realtors from 1981 to 1983, Ms. Hickambottom was the Local Government and Housing Coordinator. She served as Public and Community Relations Director at the Pasadena Urban Coalition from 1977 to 1979. In 1979, she was the Program Coordinator for the Pasadena YWCAs Nontraditional Jobs for Women Project where she introduced women to work in the construction trades.
Ms. Hickambottom serves on the boards of the Center for Community and Family Services and the Design Center Development Corporation of the Los Angeles Community Design Center. Her civic and volunteer activities also include being a member of the Board of Directors of the Rose Bowl Operating Committee, where she also holds the office of Secretary.
Ms. Hickambottom is a graduate of the Coro Foundation Public Affairs Fellows program, Los Angeles Class of 1980, and completed the Program in Public Policy Analysis at Claremont Graduate School, 1980. She has a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara, 1976. |

As Executive Director of More Than Shelter®, Ms. Ferraro is responsible for raising operating and capital funds to perpetuate the much-needed social service programs launched by Century Housing throughout Southern California. Prior to joining More Than Shelter, Kim served as Vice President of Development and Community Affairs for the Weingart Center, a homeless rehabilitation facility on Skid Row in Los Angeles. Before that, she held similar positions with Goodwill Southern California, United Way of Greater Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. She also served as protocol and special events manager for the Los Angeles Olympic Organizing Committee as well as marketing director for a sports marketing company in San Diego.
Ms. Ferraro received her undergraduate degree in liberal studies and earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Management, both from Antioch University. |

Ms. Bailey has more than 18 years of work experience in the development and implementation of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action contract compliance programs, with a strong focus on contract and labor and wage compliance. She is a Certified Contract Compliance Administrator.
Ms. Bailey is the Manager of Equal Opportunity Development, monitoring adherence to established minority and women business enterprise goals and minority and female employment goals on Century financed developments. Ms. Bailey is also serving as the Program Director of the Century Community Training Program, an affiliate of Century Housing. She is responsible for directing daily program operations of the state certified construction pre-apprenticeship training program that has trained more than 1,000 men and women and placed 75% in construction jobs.
Ms. Bailey continues to manage a U.S. Department of Labor, Womens Bureau grant, by providing technical assistance to labor unions, apprenticeship programs and construction contractors that facilitate the hiring and retention of women in the construction industry. |
